Dan Roels is ordained as a pastor in the Christian Reformed Church and recently completed over four years of ministry at his first call as pastor of Montello Park Church in Holland, MI. Currently and temporarily, he is teaching Bible at Holland Christian High School as he continues to explore God’s ministry calling.
He grew up in the diverse city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and watched his church and others struggle to connect across cultural lines as neighborhoods changed. Through the study of Spanish in Honduras, study at Calvin and Princeton Seminaries, and various cross-cultural experiences, he began to dream about what the church can become in the immigrant nation that is the United States. He and his family continue to live in an ethnically and socio-economically mixed neighborhood by choice, and yearn to see the Kingdom draw different people together in Christ, if possible as part of one worshiping community.
